Tree Advisory Commission
A tree advisory commission is a municipal body that advises on the planting, maintenance and removal of street trees and other public trees, and builds public involvement in the urban tree canopy.
In Phoenixville
Phoenixville's commission promotes public support for street tree and public tree programs, works to involve neighborhoods in planting, maintenance and removal planning, and provides a forum for coordinating that work. Members serve five-year terms, the longest of any borough board except Civil Service. It sits alongside the volunteer-led Phoenixville Green Team, which is a separate organization and not a borough body.
